The Schrammsteine 😍

Our absolute highlight so far in Saxon Switzerland! The ridge hike is absolutely recommended(!) if you are not afraid of heights and also like to climb a bit. Krystian mostly waited, he still has to get used to the heights. But no matter how far he dared to go or to hike around and

When we arrived in Pirna, we didn't have much time left. So we took a leisurely look around the city on the way to our accommodation. Beautiful area. 😋

Spending the morning here was just beautiful. Great view over the village and to the Pfaffenstein, what more could you want?

This time we hid our big backpacks in the forest and then went up the Pfaffenstein. It was already pretty busy for an early morning. A really nice climb. You get to the top relatively

After arriving back in Saxon Switzerland after Prague, I had to wait for the other two because the route was shorter. I actually wanted to explore the city a bit, but I was already too exhausted from the past few days. So I sat by the beautiful Elbe until the two arrived.

As soon as the two arrived, we

Since there wasn't enough time for the Lilienstein Fortress, we thought we'd take a closer look at the Schrammsteine.

So we took the Kirnitzschtalbahn to the botanical garden and then walked to Ostrau. From there, the rocks were great to look at. Krystian didn't have the energy to go there and the day

Next day. First we picked a hike and then we wanted to go to Lilienstein Fortress.

Unfortunately we didn't get to the fortress. But that's okay. This hike, found in the "Saxon Switzerland for all ages" collection, got the most out of it. Hiking up the rocks and climbing some of them was absolutely amazing

Yay, finally in Saxon Switzerland! 😍

First to the Bastei Bridge. So off to Rathen. There we took the ferry across the Elbe. A short walk with a great view. The climb is fun, a beautiful path. The views up there over the Elbe, the surrounding area and the rocks are beautiful. Reminds me a bit of Koblenz
