Enjoyable hike to Whinlatter top. Forest paths and hillside tracks.
It was quite boggy at the bottom of the hill so may be a very muddy in in wet weather. Geat views from the top. On a good day you can see Scotland.

Newlands Valley circular.
I had originally planned to take the path down past Uzzicar to Little Braithwaite shown on the OS map at NY232219, but it is closed. Apparently the right of way was destoyed when the river washed the path away during a storm, and possibly won't be opening again anytime soon.…

Around Derwentwater- anticlockwise
One of our favourite walks. We do this every time we come to Keswick. Good paths and great views of the lake and the surrounding hills. I recommend this walk if you are in Keswick.

Parking is no longer free at Queens View car park. You have to use the QR code on the sign to pay now. Anything from £2 to £7 depending on your stay. Path can be very mucky at times, but there is a small stream next to the car park where you can wash muddy paws and boots before returning to the car
