Cropton Rosedale Hutton le Hole
Fabulous riding along the ironstone railway track. Awful sections of single track north out of Cropton forest - 5ft high bracken hiding ruts, tree roots and rocks - not recommended. Another badly rutted section below Northdale Rigg, recommend staying on the road down to Rosedale Abbey.

Roundhay to Wetherby
Good route. Some single track sections quite overgrown, be prepared to tackle a few brambles and nettles.

Hambleton Horizon var. from Osmotherley
With Adam.
Good route with few people around. Off road section just beyond the Hanging Stone very overgrown with brambles, could have done with a pair of secateurs!

Rhayader Elan Valley Gravel (LostLanesWales, Thurston #10
Superb route. Real variety of quiet roads up in to remote feeling moorland then glorious ride down the Elan Valley Trail on lovely gravel tracks. The quiet lanes around the Dulas valley were a delight. Tricky crossing the very old, rickety Glyn Bridge footbridge over the River Elan as narrower…

Llangollen Chirk Gravel Ride
Inspired by Lost Lanes Wales, Thurston route #8. Started from Llangollen, cycled up to Trevor Rocks following quiet roads and short section of busy road to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. Followed a lovely section of canal including a tunnel, to Chirk, then headed out on the B4500 to Pontfadog. After Pontfadog left…

Loch Garten RSPB to Glenmore campsite
Quiet roads and forest tracks. All good apart from the single track section just after leaving the RSPB reserve - not recommended unless you like hikeabike.
