hebredean way complete. 200 miles, there is torture on these islands. sunstroke on day 1, windburn and 20 mph headwind days 2 and 3, midgefest day 4 and 5. But still, totally worth it - there is magic on the islands too. beautiful landscapes and a way of life deeply rooted in the old traditions. sailing

a steep climb up to the ridge at hollins cross on the old coffin route between castleton and edale. across the great ridge to lose hill summit, down into hope village and back along the road to castleton. very cold up there !
