Nakhwaam is a rock cliff overlooking the Baengmagang River in Buyeo. Legend holds that this was the site where the women of the Baekje royal court leapt to their deaths following the kingdom’s defeat by the Silla–Tang Alliance. The name Nakhwaam, which literally translates to “the Cliff of Falling Flowers,” symbolizes the fidelity and unwavering loyalty of the women of Baekje.

Odongdo offers scenic coastal beauty and seasonal flowers, especially its famous camellia forest. Located just off the coast of Yeosu, the small island is connected to the mainland by a short breakwater and offers easy walking paths, dramatic rocky cliffs, ocean views, and a lighthouse. It’s particularly popular in winter and early spring when camellias bloom, and it’s known as a romantic, peaceful nature escape rather than a commercial tourist spot.

Mindungsan (민둥산) is a 1,118-meter-high mountain in Jeongseon County, Gangwon Province, South Korea. Its name means “bare mountain” because, unlike many Korean peaks, its summit is covered with grasslands instead of dense forests. The mountain is especially famous in autumn when fields of silver grass (eulalia) cover its slopes, creating a sweeping golden landscape. Close to the mountain’s summit, there is a small crater-like depression that holds a seasonal lake. This little mountaintop pond, formed by collected rainwater, adds to the mountain’s charm and contrasts beautifully with the surrounding open ridges, making the hike both unique and scenic.
