If you think it's worth traveling to the largest lime forest in Europe, you're wrong. Due to very poor information cards and a complete lack of signage, it was impossible to even see a linden tree. It's a shame, but otherwise it was a nice wandering in a normal mixed forest.

Wonderful Schlaubetal. Very nice hiking area. The routes are quite easy. You should be sure-footed on damp leaves and wood. Every now and then you can also climb over fallen trees. You very rarely meet other people.

For anyone who wants to discover the northern Altmark, the tour along the Elbe dyke through the floodplains to Wanzer is worthwhile. Back via Pollitz am Aland to Wahrenberg. This is really "the middle of nothing"
