Thank you R☘️sy for your idea of the Immelsbacher Höhe. We ran the tour similarly in summer 2020. Since we started at Hornberg train station, we had a rather steep but short ascent to Gesundbrunnen right from the start.
Unfortunately, the route is not very sunny. I would have liked a little more warming rays, because it was quite cold that day. My muscles don't like that.
We didn't have to sweat as much as we did in summer🥵
The route often runs on the rock trail (MTB), but we haven't met cyclists either in summer or today. Today we actually only met one person on the whole route.
It is essential to take the "Alpine Path" from the Immelsbacher Höhe rest area to the Immelsbacher Höhe. It runs parallel to the Höhenweg.
Conclusion: a really nice path. Gladly again

During this beautiful autumn hike I was in a rush of colors, as you can easily see from the photos.
The palette ranged from green to yellow to orange and gold. We could hardly see enough 😍
The Trinity Mountain lies on a rectangular plateau. At one end is the Dreifaltigkeitsberg with its pilgrimage church and at the other end is the glider flight area on the Klippeneck.
On the route you always have wonderful views down into the valley to the surrounding towns and villages, as far as the Middle Black Forest and, depending on the weather, as far as the Alps.
On this wonderful and sunny day we did like the mouse "Frederick" from Leon Lionni's picture book: We collected sun rays, colors and warmth as supplies for cold, gray and winter days.
Conclusion: No challenge in terms of stamina and ability, but a challenge for the senses and perfect care for the soul❤️

Today we wanted to fully enjoy the sun and warmth in the northern Black Forest 😌
Well You just shouldn't rely on the weather frogs 🙄
Drive over the knee to the hearth stone. So beautiful. The sun is already shining and making the deciduous trees shine. The sky is blue and the temperature is rising. However, it is already very windy. Our hike begins at the Mummelsee. It goes uphill on a narrow, stony path. The wind has increased in the meantime. It almost blew you away on the Hornisgrinde. Meanwhile the sky has darkened. And nothing more can be felt of the predicted warmth 😩
Wonderful path through the high moor over a wooden walkway.
From the Dreifürstenstein it goes down to the Seibelseckle. The path is very steep and very stony. Good shoes and possibly hiking sticks are advisable.
The “old Westweg” leads from the Seibelseckle to the Darmstädter Hütte. Very nice to go. Unfortunately the clouds are getting closer.
We had planned to descend to the romantic Wildsee, but in view of the weather development we stayed up there and walked straight to the Ruhestein, where our car was already waiting for us.
Conclusion: wonderful paths, great views, highly recommended 👍 but better in dry weather 😉My realization: I should urgently adapt my outdoor clothing to autumn / winter temperatures 🙄

After looking at the national park center at the Ruhestein a few days ago, we came across the recommendation of the lynx trail. Since this is only about 4.5 km long and the journey is a good 1 hour, we have taken up a suggestion from the Komoot Comunity fund and have expanded the lynx tour a little.Wonderful drive over the Black Forest High Road in the early morning. The sun was already warming (behind the car window 🙄) and the leaves of the trees shone in bright autumn colors. The parking lots on the Schwarzwaldhochstrasse were still happily empty. Maybe it was just the low temperature.
Unfortunately, some of the formerly sophisticated hotels and inns bob around along the route, are closed, dilapidated, burned down ...
From the parking lot Plättig we first went over the Falkenfelsen. So beautiful 😊
Then steeply uphill to the intersection at "Sand". Continue along the west path to the Herrenwieser Sattel. On the way you could have made a detour to the apparently beautiful "Sandsee" and from Herrenwieser Sattel you can continue to the Friedrichsturm at the "Badener Höhe", from where you should also have a magnificent view. But not today 🤔, because the weather did not allow good visibility today either.
Sandsee and Badener Höhe there is a hike on another day, with a stop at the Naturfreundehaus Badener Höhe.
      Back to tour: 😁
From the “Herrenwieser Sattel” it went on a narrow path to the “Brautstein” and further down towards the parking lot. Unfortunately, the sun couldn't penetrate the trees here and it was pretty cold. I would have needed gloves and a hat 😩. The route was all the nicer. Now we were on the "wilderness path". Here you can clearly see what happens in the forest over 20 years after storm “Lothar” if you don't (or hardly) work on it.
Then we come to the "lynx trail". Very nice. You can learn a lot about the life of the lynx. Well done and exciting for children too.
However, the path should not be underestimated. It almost always goes through roots and it goes up and down all the time.
It's exhausting and you can't go fast (Ok. Maybe that only applies to me) 😌
Challenge: Along the former ski lift steeply up to the “Sand” car park 🥵Conclusion: At least the lynx path and the wilderness path should be taken as a nature lover. The two paths stop, true to the national park's motto: "A trace wilder" 😁

Due to the long way to get there, the hike today was allowed to be a bit longer.
It's wonderful to get your knee up. The street is lined with colorful deciduous trees that herald autumn.
Down the Oppenauer Steige - well. I was only a passenger.
We were early and that was good. You can still get a place for your car at the Hesselbach hiking car park.
The Oberkircher Brennersteig is self-explanatory 🤪
Well signposted, no fruit farm is left out, I was already dizzy from looking at the “tasting stands” 🙄.
Only shortly before the end of the round did I let myself be carried away to a noble water, when it only went downhill afterwards 😁
Again and again beautiful views on the route, unfortunately not in the further distance. It was very hazy today.
This is also the case on the Geigerskopf tower. I wasn't upstairs (fear of heights 🙈) let me be told.
Conclusion: A definitely worthwhile hike, the climbs are easy to master - even for me 🙄. However, no coffee and cake on the way, and do not stop at the “Café am Eck” in Oppenau 😟

With this tour, I have realized a project that has lasted for decades.
I always wanted to (somehow) go to the Hörnleberg.
I am very proud of myself. 😌
However, I have never used so much battery 🙄
Yes, southern Sweden just look: The tour was a route you drove. We left out Hünersedel. Too much walking traffic 😌Challenges: I was very tense on some passages down from the Hörnleberg😟

Nice cozy round with a delicious stop in the Tannenstub. The only challenge was a short, steep stretch of approx. 50 meters in front of the Lohmühle fish ponds 😁 and - for me it should have been a few degrees warmer 🙈

Phew 😅 I've never done so many hm in one go.
It was a nice, but exhausting tour with a lot of ups and downs (that's what the Hm 😃) and with the Ely it works to a certain extent.
The weather was perfect. The ways dry.
The challenge was 1. The train ride from Haslach to Gengenbach (I just haven't had any practice with it 😉)
and 2. A steep, stony passage downhill on the route from Höhenhäuser to Biereck. I pushed my bike DOWNHILL 😩😢
No. I don't quarrel with it. Safety comes first.
From the Biereck we then took the driveway, the fastest way, but not the most beautiful.
We already have a better variant in mind 😉
Super ingenious by my guide. Thanks. Gladly again 😘

The first part of the route is well known and it is always reassuring when you can see the water level at the drinking water reservoir. The driveway to Zwieselberg is easy to do. And then most of the Hm are already done.
On paths unknown to me we went via Langenwaldsee and Agnesruhe to Tannenstub ‘, our intended destination, because there are good dumplings there 😉
Via Büchenberg and past the fish ponds in the Lohmühletal, it went along the young Kinzig to Alpi and then finally to the “Badische” and home to the cozy part 😃
Conclusion: A nice and moderate tour - if you like to drive in the forest with little views. 😉
