Very easy until it it gets to boulder climbing. If you're not comfortable climbing up about 150' up and then down on sandstone boulders, probably not the trail for you. Give yourself about 2.5 hours before sunset to do this trail. It's a lollipop loop, bear right for the views and the ease of climbing

In Utah desert at Hovenweep Ntl Monument. Ruins in the distance were Puebloan village if between 150 -300 people, depending to whom you listen, and abandoned around 1280 CE. I had several thousand acres all to myself 💞

Normally a 9-hike circumnavigation aroundthe lake, but blocked off this month due to construction, so at 1.5mi I had to turn around. Try it again in April when the bald eagles are nesting.

Beautiful and fun trail DURING THE WEEK. Crowded State park, no place for cars on weekends. The Fowler/Goshawk trail guarantees gorgeous Colorado scenery with lots of solitude. Great trail for Shinrin Yoku (forest bathing) and wild canyon scenery.
