A natural rock labyrinth with dark crevices, (sometimes very narrow, sometimes wet rock) dark caves, passages in and under the rock. A dream for every child and even adults. A huge forest playground for hiding, playing, climbing, romping, discovering and much more.
Very good and easily accessible climbing sites through the boulders, also up. Despite many visitors, there is always the possibility to retire on a boulder or forest clearing. Picnic or similar everywhere possible, no open fire allowed, as national park. Sure-footedness and outdoor clothing should, however, be a prerequisite for having untroubled fun. Parking 700m away. No cultivation. Directions: Coming from Pirna direction fortress Königstein in the roundabout take the first exit and follow the small brown signs. Sometimes bad to see. Conclusion: a few hours of fun for children and adults. Clear recommendation!

Tour was Hammergeil. Starting from the campsite towards the gorge. Only relatively leisurely climb to the hunting lodge Hoher Sattel (1500m) via mountain trails. From there steep forest path, climb to the boulder field on the mountain. Relatively demanding path through the gravel with sometimes difficult climbing passages to Arnspitzhütte (not managed, refuge) at 1900m. From there only climbing up to the summit at 2196m. Gigantic view. Mega feeling! Descend then again on the refuge and a no longer maintained, sometimes very steep WSerpentinenweg through the boulder field, very slippery in several places, up to 600m. From there serpentines through the forest to Porta Claudia not far from Scharnitz. Back through the village, campground.
Conclusion: Tour was planned as Doghike and also run. With dog through scree and climbing passages in some places difficult. Without dogs probably much easier. Absolutely recommendable and worth seeing! With experience in humans and dogs as Doghike suitable
