Arranged to meet friends in Wels, we wanted to take a detour via St.Marienkirchen and Wallern. From Wallern to Wels, we had Google Maps plan the route. Wallern / Pauliberg
Sehr schöne Wanderung rund um den Pauliberg. Der Handyakku war leider nach 2/3 der Strecke leer, der Rückweg ist jedoch leicht zu finden.

The weather created a very peculiar mood this time, one almost felt like it was "autumn". It was windy and many clouds - from harmless white to disturbingly dark - in the sky, which naturally made the landscape extremely photogenic.

Hierbei handelt es sich um eine 'Hybridrunde'. Von Gerling nach Bad Mühllacken mit dem Fahrrad und dann das Pesenbachtal zu Fuß hinauf zum Auto. Das Pesenbachtal ist immer wieder unbeschreiblich schön!

The 35 km long Pesenbach originates in the Mühlviertel, flows through Niederwaldkirchen and a few smaller towns, before flowing through the "Pesenbachtal" to Bad Mühllacken and from there on to the Danube.
The Pesenbachtal offers indescribable natural beauty, which can be fully "absorbed" on this hike

Beautiful hike from the Danube valley up to the Mayrhofberg and its viewing tower. The ascent from Knieparz is reasonably well signposted. The way back is also actually well signposted, but you still need a bit of instinct to find the right path, especially because the vegetation is already very lush

Keglergupf/Pipieterkogel/Höllmühlbachtal
Wunderschöne Wanderung an einem heißen Junitag, die zum Glück am Morgen fast völlig im Schatten verläuft.
Die Abzweigung von der Bockstraße zum Wirt sollte man entweder ganz streichen (man endet vor 'Privatgrund') oder die direkte Strecke zum Exenschlager Wirt nehmen.

Very nice hike around the Gründberg. This time we started early, because the day was predicted to reach +34°C. Real alpinists will laugh, but I've never seen a summit cross so early in the day.
The loop leads back over the romantic Höllmühlbachtal, which luckily is still in the shade in the morning.

Very nice tour on a very hot day at the end of June. The route is varied and mainly on paved side roads. It would also work well as a motorcycle route (omitting the few cycle paths).

Anyone tackling this route should let out a bit of air from their tires, the trail condition is not always the best and truly lives up to the term 'Gravel'. Especially the granite quarry gravel stones put a strain on the bike.
