Start this hike from the entrance of the Fort Davis National Historic Site. At the beginning of the hike, the Natural Trail provides a variety of flora with panels.. The North Ridge Trail takes a dramatic volcanic landscape.. Then this hike briefly enters into the Fort Davis State Park via the Skyline Drive or CCC trails. Finally, you will end the hike by exploring the pre-Civil War site of the fort and largely restored post-war hospital.. The highlight of the hike is looking down an entire fort from the scenic outlook.
