This highest ridge in Germany, which goes from Zugspitze to Alpspitze, is also probably the most beautiful ridge in Germany. The route is rated SAC T6 and does not have any markings for most parts, and less frequent markings for the rest of the ridge, which means one has to find their own way. The ridge is very long and has up to UIAA III- climbing and via Ferrata level-D. A head for heights and very good fitness levels are recommended for this event, and it should only be attempted by experienced hikers.
