The Größer Krottenkopf(2656) , Heilbronnerweg along with Mädelegabel(644), Bockkarkopf(2609), and Hohes Licht(2051) and back to Alpe Eschbach was too much for two days. We did do all but wished there was more time to enjoy each of the places we went.
The optimal plan for the Heilbronnerweg, in my opinion
This was my third climb of Zugspitze. But never had i done true climbing. I had taken cable car back after the climb. So this was by foot from the parking lot to the lot back.
Climbing down was not easy. Especially after you get tired of the climbing up. Still i made it on time.
Since we couldn't complete Großkrottenkopf the day before and the Heilbronnerweg was difficult to cross without right tools, we decided to a peak at least abd Großkrottenkopf was the target. The path was difficult and after 2560, it was imposdibke to move forward due to the snow. So we gave up and climbed
Our plan was to hike along the ridges to Kemptnerhütte and then climb Großkrottenkopf. But the Gratwanderweg was very difficult and we have to give up close to the Krummerstein peak.
We then took normal route to Kemptnerhütte and gave up on Großkrottenkopf. The Hütte was way too good. Food and room both
I wanted to climb Rubihorn sunce last year. I had read the name in some Facebookhiking group of people in Stuttgart. Somehow was in Oberstdorf for more than 5 times but this one route was never taken. This year i did it.
Lots of waterfalls, nice view of obersdorf, beautiful Gaisalpsee and Rubihorn peak
Ir rained slightly in the beginning but all in all it was best for hike like this. We could see sun toward the end of our hike. The spribgs can be seen in flowers and new leaves.
