About Steffi Meyer
Today we went on a noble tour to castles and palaces in the Sprottetal. We started at the community center in Nöbdenitz. First we visited the thousand-year-old oak right next to the village church. A stately trunk, held by poles and straps, is about to sprout. We continued along the Mannichswalder Sprotte to the Rothenmühle. It was well attended thanks to the weather and outdoor dining. We reached Posterstein Castle via the Holzmichelweg. A really nicely preserved gem. Through the village across fields and meadows to the other side of the motorway. Tannenfeld Castle Park, a sea in yellow. The daffodils were still in full bloom and thanks to the sun there were unique motifs. Unfortunately, some of the buildings are in a pitiful condition. The castle park itself is still relatively well cared for. Only the pond is a rotting pool. Historically, I am adding the Wikipedia article. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tannenfeld After a good picnic in the park we went back to Nöbdenitz. A small, fine Sunday round.

Fresh up, today, for stage 3 of the second virtual relay hike in Thuringia. The weather was not perfect, Klärchen had hidden behind thick clouds, but the rain was gone and the storm had also noticeably eased. So start in Kunitz with the ascent to Kunitzburg. We were rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view of Jena, into the Saale valley and the Dornburg castles. We continued on the high path to the end of the valley to Lasan and opposite up to Jenzig. Here, too, the panorama is mega. What will be going on here with the best weather and open gastronomy. Well, we used the large picnic area for some refreshment from the backpack. We continued on the Höhenweg, always keeping an eye on the prospects. You just have to stop, look and take photos. Descent to Wogau, from there we adjusted the tour a bit. We climbed up again through the town of Prießnitz towards Fuchslöcher. The last part was via an open corridor, always with a view of the Jenzig, to the destination in Jena Ost. All in all a successful tour and certainly not my last hike on the horizontal. Thanks Romy.

They always say the way is the goal, at least when hiking, this can only be said for our tour today. Rating in the B-note 6.0 with a star is certainly also due to the wonderful weather. It was a feast for all the senses. It smelled and tasted like spring. The birds chirped happily and the sun warmed body and soul. The tour always goes along the funny babbling brook, you want to take photos all the time, only the camera can't always capture the moment. It is really a festival and a wonderful tour, almost no other soul that gets lost in this lonely valley. At least currently. At the end you go through the orchards of Sachsenobst, which will certainly add value to the experience in 8 weeks. I'm just saying fruit tree blossom.
