Very nice route, it can be shortened to half the distance and half the elevation gain, the detour is signposted.
Recommended to bring water if you go down to Don Pedro.

Good coverage on almost the entire route, lots of water recommended although there is shade for a good part of the route.
It has good views of the Tajogaite, and the San Juan lava flow is amazing.
You can shorten it by a couple of kilometers and reduce about 250m of positive elevation gain if you don't
