Plenty of free parking at the Uni of a weekend & evening.
Pleasant walk through farmland on public rights-of-way, some become very muddy & not much fun in the wetter months but during the rest of the year very accessible.

Tolkien trail
We enjoyed this walk so much last week that we came again this week, without the rain☔🙂
The sunshine certainly brought everyone out, as the morning stretched out it was much more busy.

Tolkien trail
Beautiful area. Mostly well maintained pathways through farmland. Small amount of road walking. Excellent cafe at the start/end point. Limited amount of on road parking.

Glasgow walk
