Today we left the bikes and strolled a bit through Lana in search of the local Gaulschlucht.
Personally, I find Lana a bit lacking in flair. Once you've walked through it, that's enough. But perhaps we just haven't found the right beautiful spot yet.

Due to low rainfall, there are 250 "Waale" (irrigation channels) in South Tyrol for irrigating agricultural land. They are diverted from rivers that draw their water from glaciers.
With a total length of 1,000 km, they represent the largest historical irrigation system in the Alps.
