    Harborne & Birmingham Canal loop from Halesowen

    Lovely route featuring lots of quiet, scenic canal towpaths. After the initial road section you are rewarded by frequent opportunities to be surrounded by nature, with the odd coffee stop thrown in for good measure.

    Clent Hills to Wyre Forest - Boxing Day Bike Trek

    Leg 1 of my Boxing Day bike ride from Halesowen to Wyre Forest, Kidderminster. Lots of old pubs en route. Bewdley would have been worth a proper look - very pretty little place, but only passed through.

    Oath Coffee Shop Shrewsbury to Pant

    Nice little 18-mile route from a cool hipster coffee shop in the medieval town of Shrewsbury to the village of Pant. Mostly cycle paths and quiet country lanes. BTW - that rusty singlespeed bike is not the one I completed the journey on! :) Spot it en route if you can!

      The second part of a ride i was completing (bike app didnt record the first leg from Aberdyfi to Dolgellau for some reason). Anyway, i shouldve labelled this a bike/hike as i spent a good part of the journey pushing my singlespeed up some hideous inclines. Not for the feinthearted. But, almost worth

      A tough but beautiful bike ride on the ncr 81 route. Stopped at Llanidloes for lunch. Pretty little village. Some brutal climbs thereafter, but an exhilirating descent into Machynlleth for the final stretch.

      Lovely country road route from Chirk... But beware - the climb up from the Swan Inn in Pontfadog in the last fifth of the route was absolutely brutal... Up to 20% incline for what felt like a mile long... No good on a single speed. Had to get off and push - Almost didn't make it! 🚲
