Wieder einen schönen Tag am Great Glen Way verbracht und oberhalb von Loch Ness gewandert. Bei Drumnadrochit steht noch ein Mammutbaum (Bild4), beeindruckende Maße. Unterwegs wiedermal(leider zu selten)Honesty Boxen gefunden. Sie werden von Privatpersonen mit Essen,Trinken,Gaskartuschen und anderen Dingen befüllt. So kann man aber super seine Vorräte aufstocken. Super Strecke am Loch Ness mit herrlichen Aussichten, leider etwas länger geworden. Die Suche nach einem Platz fürs Zelt hat etwas gedauert, aber noch fündig geworden. Fast kein Regen, so war der Poncho den ganzen Tag nicht im gebrauch👍Dem Endziel nähern wir uns, fast geschafft😁😢

Viel geregnet die ganze Nacht, frühs zum Glück aufgehört und den ganzen Tag fast trocken geblieben. Herrliche Strecke am Kanal entlang, wenig Steigungen, tut auch mal gut👍Angekommen in Fort Augustus und erstmal Fisch und Chips gegessen, immer wieder lecker😋 In Fort Augustus beginnt auch der Legendäre Loch Ness, mal gespannt…

Another beautiful day on the WHW. From picture 12 onwards, the path becomes very demanding, very narrow and involves many small climbing sections, but the view makes up for it. Another wonderful day, with a dreamlike backdrop. Steep ascents and descents, but the view makes up for it. We stayed overnight at Loch Lomond. You have to book this overnight spot in advance. It is located in a national park where camping is only allowed in designated areas. Costs approx. €5👍 A maximum

Super first day on the WHW, lots of sun and short showers and hail in the evening. Stayed overnight at a small campsite. Shower, snacks, gas cartridges and drinks are also available on site, what more could you want.
