Bardonecchia - Forte Bramafam - Pian del Sole
A fairly easy circular walk from Bardonecchia, via Forte Bramafam, through woodland up to Pian del Sole, then back down along the river into town. Not as wild or remote as other walks in this area but still a lovely walk (and with the advantage of a restaurant and bar at the top!)

Bardonecchia - Pian dei Morti
A stunning hike from Bardonecchia along the Rho valley up to the Pian dei Morti at 2,300m. Stunning views at every turn, alpine meadows, woodlands, old bridges and a tunnel - it's got everything! The route is very clearly waymarked and is all on good paths. There are a couple of landslides on the path near the tunnel, but they are easily navigable. I walk quite slowly, stop often to take photos and gawp at the views, took three proper breaks, and it took me just over 6hrs in total.

A fabulous walk with an initial steep ascent outside Bardonecchia. It levels off at the 1600m contour and goes to Melezet, with amazing views down on Bardonecchia and along the valley.

A great walk startingently enough Along the river then getting very steep to Grange Chaffeau. From there you follow the contline al around the back of the village to Grange Vernets.
The walk back down is down a steep gravel road but there are opportunites to head back into the shady paths which you should they're lovely paths!
