Randonnée fitness test
This was a sanity check to check if I could actualy finish a 200k randonnée withingbthe alloted 13.5 hours. Turns out I could, although with only 44 minutes to spare.

The day started with a puncture, later the freewheel decided to self destruct and leave the gears dangling.
Quite happy that I managed to bodge a repair and make it home.

Very nice route in general, but there is one exception.
The strectch of N118 entre Alcochete and Samora Correia has no shoulder and alot of heavy High speed traffic.
The road is straight and just needs a small amount of work to make it usable for cycling.
But as it stands, I will not use it again anytime soon.

After the attempt at the "Beirã" Brevet in 2024, which I finished outside the time limit, I finally have my first homologated Brevet on this attempt.
Both in this one and the previous one, a unique experience due to the organization, the volunteers, and the randonneurs.
