Round the Seathwaite Tarn
Can be done from Campsite, or New Inn pub or park through the gate. Easy long pull up to the Tarn. Round the back of the tarn can be boggy and difficult rocky path

Both station near trail. Aldermaston has nice pub or a tea house to end the walk or a rest.

From reading station to Theale station.
To get to the start of Kennet&Avon canal you can walk along the river Thames from the station. Follow the signs from the station.

Edited route from another user. Great ride although head the warning. 1/2 a mile or so is for very experienced MTB rider as very rocky and steep. I had to walk down most of that part.
