A very beautiful, varied tour with magnificent views and comfortable rest stops, but also some strenuous climbs, especially in the "Käsplatte" area. Plenty of roots and rocky sections require sturdy footwear and a good level of fitness. For those less confident, I recommend hiking poles for support

The tour starts at the former inn in front of the viaduct in Auerbach. Shortly after the underpass, the trail turns left up into the forest. The steepest section is right at the beginning, climbing up to almost 700 meters. Sturdy shoes and hiking poles are helpful if needed. Benches for resting along
