Great ride mostly on the Virginia Capital Trail. I had a minor fall turning around on the road and had to cut the ride short by a few miles.. Just bruised my leg and cut my knee.

For this first day of the M2M, I set out to beat my PB for a 100 mile ride. The first 10 miles or so of the ride were in a large peloton under a police escort and we only averaged about 12 mph. After that, I was able to push myself and managed to do 18-20mph with various groups of riders over long stretches of road into mostly headwinds and occasional drizzle. Even with less than ideal weather conditions, I was able to beat my PB by over 40 minutes from last year.

Getting over a cold and felt a bit tired.. The return trip over the Jordan Bridge wiped me out. I had to walk up most of it.

Half Marathon from the Solar Farm near my house.. My knees were a bit sore from a long bike ride yesterday and lots of running/walking this week, so I dialed the pace down some.. I was 12 mins off the half marathon I ran last weekend.
