This is one of those postcard hikes, very instagramable. The Towanroath engine house at Wheal Coates is a sight to behold, but it’s not the only sight worth seeing on this loop.

Cornwall is synonymous with tin mining, copper mining and the chimney stacks that display this long since extinct industry.
A network of trails, run all over mid Cornwall and link together at certain points, allowing for this epic 50km tour of them all.

This is a challenging route both navigationally and in terms of fitness.
It’s not often I opt for an inland route when there is so much coast path to enjoy here, but climbing to the top of Rosewall Hill gives incredible views and is well worth the effort.

Perranporth beach is no secret, but to see it at its best you need to get there around low tide.
This loop takes you out through the dunes and back along the entire two miles of beach. It’s spectacular in any weather.

This is up there with my all time favourite routes in Cornwall. It’s where I take people who come to visit, so I can hear audible ‘oohs’ and ‘ahs’ as we crest every climb (they’re steep) and turn every bend. The coast path here is rocky and almost always dry, even when the rest of it is like a mud slide
