While in Sydney for work, I took a day off and rented a geared bike from Centennial Park Cycles. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I hadn’t made a reservation, but that wasn’t an issue—they had plenty of bikes available. The bikes were in good condition, and the rental included a helmet, which is mandatory in Sydney. My plan was to cycle along the coast to explore some of the beaches and neighborhoods. Although a few sections required getting off the bike, I didn’t mind—taking in the views was more important to me than maintaining a continuous ride. I loved the relaxed atmosphere on the beaches, the stunning coastal views, and the beautiful homes along the way. Tip: Bring a bike lock! I didn’t, and missed out on stopping for a coffee break. A lock gives you the freedom to explore more comfortably.
