SUN, Wind, and completely DRY. A day so nice and very relaxed. We cycled a long stretch along the coast where a lot of Sea Buckthorn grew. Despite the drought, fortunately there were still bushes with berries on them. Coffee in Westkapelle, then on and via Zoutelande and Dishoek to Ria in Vlissingen

The day started super nice and pleasant. After a good breakfast, we got everything sorted again, bikes were to our liking, and then we set off. Although the forecasts were not great, we just decided to go cycling anyway. And we knew it. It was a nice route, countryside, villages, a real crossing with the ferry over the Veerse Meer.........but we only stayed dry for a quarter of an hour. Rain all day eventually gets boring. De zon schijnt , de dag is nog fris, dus even lekker naar buiten. Er worden al pompoenen aangeboden langs de weg en er komen maar liefst 900 wielrenners naar onze stad om vandaag de "Brabants mooiste" te gaan rijden.

2026-08-25 Kompas speurtocht ( van NM) met 8-jarige logé
Bij het bezoekerscentrum van N.M. een speurtocht uitgekozen, kregen tas mee gevuld met allerlei hulpmiddelen om onderweg diverse opdrachten uit te voeren. Echt leuk. De beschrijving was niet altijd helemaal duidelijk, maar we hebben de tocht volbracht. De logé vond het erg leuk. IJsje toe. Een fijne middag.

A very nice and often impressive hiking day. I passed Soesterberg airbase and a little later the National Military Museum. There were many people there and it seems like an interesting place.
