Undoubtedly beautiful but its more pond than lake.
The restaurant as you the enter the road leading to the lake is great though ...

Skala is only there for the tourists so is a great place if you are looking for a long beach front with lots of good restaurants and bars.

Wonderful walk with fabulous views and two great restaurants along the way. It is slightly challenging as you'll need to follow the trail marked with blue ribbons through the rocks to get to the second beach (where the turtles lay their eggs) but well worth it as it is by far the better one.

This easy circular walk begins at The Greyhound Inn, nestled in the heart of the charming village of Wigginton. The Greyhound is everything you’d hope for in a traditional country pub, full of character, warm and welcoming, with friendly staff, excellent real ales, and freshly cooked food that makes it the perfect spot to start (or end) your walk. The route offers a gentle pace through open countryside, winding lanes, and peaceful woodland paths, making it ideal for a relaxed morning or afternoon stroll. Along the way, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding hills and plenty of opportunities to pause and take in the tranquillity of the Chilterns Hills. Whether you’re walking solo, with friends, or as part of a group, this short circular route is a great way to combine fresh air, good company, and a well-earned pint at the end. https://youtu.be/8ybM9Vp8Pa8

A lovely short walk with a fantastic café and pub along the way, and even a field full of alpacas to enjoy! There’s a bit of road walking towards the end, but it wasn’t too busy when we went, so still very manageable. Definitely worth doing.
