It's amazing how many great hidden ponds there are in Vogtland. Without really planning it, I passed a few on my tour and I'm sure I missed a few more. The tour is particularly well suited for bikers who are not so trained, as mostly well-drivable paths, but also one or the other small challenge awaits.

A wonderful mountain bike tour around the Hohenwarte reservoir. It went from the upper reservoir of the pump storage plant down over the dam wall to the other side of the lake with many great and lovingly prepared vantage points.
