The first few km is a steep 10% climb on asphalt roads. Nice to get the legs warm. Then follows a long gentle climb through forests on gravel roads. Some part have very coarse gravel and I had to push my packed bike a few times. Then, towards the top of the first peak the gravel went terrible and I had

This ride goes from Tušila to Boračko Jezero, all on paved roads in great condition. The climb at the start is very steep and will feel a bit long. The one at the end is 8% average and might feel a bit long too but is more manageable even with heavy luggage. The descent to the Neretva river is wonderful

Easy ride on paved roads with one or two challenging climbs. The detour to Bobovica is optional and would be the toughest part of the route with a constant 10-13% climbing. Had to push my bike, but it was worth it for the views and for visiting a traditional village with friendly people.

The ride in Sarajevo is crazy... they have bike paths, and then they have no bike paths,... The climb is long, but once the tarmac finishes, it stops feeling steep. The path is not great in some parts, best suited for MTB but I did it with a trekking bike with panniers on the back anyway. Had to push

This stage is easy and a tad bit boring if you do not visit Blagaj on the way. (I didn't because I visited it before, but it is worth it!) Almost all roads are paved, no places to stock up along the way, there were some places by the river but they were closed (on a Tuesday in September). The part right
