Un tour molto tranquillo, adatto a chiunque se non, come spesso avviene, per brevissimi passaggi. Si passa accanto all'antichissimo Ospitale di San Giacomo, con il suo Museo del Castagno e la Scuola del Borlengo. Si attraversano il Bosco delle Betulle e l'esposizione di opere all'aperto di "Art in wood". Si passa accanto al borgo di Dragodena con la casa del brigante Podetto, e sotto al cocuzzolo di Montetortore con le rovine dell'importantissimo castello che fu sede della "Potestaria Muntis Turturis", guardiana nei secoli su tutti quei borghi medievali che avrebbero poi costituito l'attuale Comune di Zocca, con l'aggiunta del presidio fortificato di Montalto (oggi Montalto Vecchio appartenente al Comune di Montese), del quale pure visitiamo più avanti l'ubicazione, laddove soltanto rimane la cisterna del castello duecentesco. Poi "La Casaccia", stupendo complesso recentemente restaurato nel perfetto suo stile tardomedievale e rinascimentale, esempio straordinario di quella che, quantomeno in vasta parte dell'Appennino Emiliano, fu l'evoluzione architettonica rurale nel corso di quasi tutto il trascorso millennio. Insomma, oltre che da pedalare, ci sarebbe un gran da studiare 😉!

Un bel tour ricco di campestri attraverso coltivi e vigne, che si sviluppa dunque all'interno di parecchie proprietà private, sempre però tenendosi ben lontano da abitazioni che non presiedano ad attività turistiche, o comunque pubbliche, quali ad esempio l'Agriturismo Borgo delle Vigne e l'Agriturismo/maneggio Montevecchio Isolani. Non mancano brevi salite ripide né situazioni selvagge e/o piccanti, e può capitare, come in questo periodo, di pedalare su campestri non ancora falciate, senza che questo comporti danni ad aree produttive anche solo di foraggi. Tutto facilmente ciclabile, ma adatto a chi sia animato da vero spirito esplorativo e da profonda antipatia per l'asfalto 🙂.
