The fog still has the Maintal firmly in its grip at 7 degrees as I leave the Bike Lodge. Via Lohr, it's a continuous climb through the cool Spessart valley along the Lohr river up to Heigenbrücken. While the trains cross the Spessart in tunnels, cyclists can pedal up the Spessart ramp.
