The path leads me out of Helmstedt directly into the Elm-Lappwald Nature Park. The pleasantly cool, fresh forest provides a relaxed riding climate to start with – only the occasional rough cobblestone sections remind the bike and rider quite clearly that not every path is made for gliding.
