First munro completed and what a beauty. Had a single afternoon to go hiking and this is the mountain I fancied. Sure footedness definitely require once above 800metres all the way up to the summit. No real clear path from 980 metres just a scramble up and down. Weather wasn't bad but the clouds did start coming in once I started to descend.

Brilliant alternate route to go up Lonscale Fell and Pike as that was my main aim to do it going up Burnthorse ridge via the Glenderaterra valley. Weather was everything you can imagine in a lake district adventure and the pictures will prove the difference in weather throughout the hike. Hit Skiddaw which I manage to get a view luckily before the clouds came in just as I sat down for lunch.

Lovely walk overlooking greenbooth resovoirs and hitting knowl hill twice from opposite sides. Not too much shade about apart from the woodlands either side of greenbooth. Parked near owd Betts pub.
