For the first time during the hike, we got up early and started at 7:15 AM, determined to complete the final stretch. Since camping isn’t allowed in Abisko National Park, we planned to finish the hike today and maybe catch an earlier train. The morning sun was already intense, with temperatures climbing

We started late, around 11 AM, after waiting for our gear to dry on a sunny day. Ensuring we had enough food in case of an extra day in Abisko, we set off along the Alesjuare lake. Along the way, we met Legend 1, who had found cloudberries—the yellow ones typically used for jam. We ate them fresh; they

We started around 9-10 AM, aiming to cross the highest point of the hike, the Tjäkta pass at 1200m. After that, it was mostly downhill to the Tjäkta checkpoint, where we stopped for lunch and got drenched again. Fortunately, while drying our tent fly, we used it to cover our backpacks and shoes, keeping

Morning couldn't come fast enough after a rough night of storms, but we surprisingly had a good sleep. Our tent was soaked outside and slightly wet inside, but it held up. The rain persisted, though the wind had calmed. We packed quickly, ensuring our sleeping gear was sealed in a dry bag, and began

We packed up our tents and left around 9 AM, already drenched from the rain. We stowed the wet tent fly outside, hoping to dry it later. Our first stop was near Kebnekaise Fjällstation, where we were grateful for the facilities and had breakfast. Many campers had stayed nearby for easier access. At the

We arrived in Nikkaluokta, an hour from Kiruna, around 13:30, deep in Sami Country, and were met with rain. After weighing our bags (around 12kg each, excluding water) and filling our bottles, we started our hike towards Kebnekaise Fjällstation, mindful of the weight we'd carry over 100km. We received a 750g wooden log for a sauna at checkpoint 3, making our packs heavier. The rain was relentless, forcing us to have lunch under wet conditions, something we quickly adapted to. The trail was lined with birch trees, and we met many hikers finishing their journey at Nikkaluokta. After 5km, we shared a reindeer burger at a BBQ spot but skipped the €45 boat ride to save 5km. The hike involved several small river crossings but was otherwise uneventful. We pitched our tents 3km short of Kebnekaise Fjällstation, enjoying a beautiful sunset over Sydtopper and, after a warm-down, felt no significant pain.
