Brutal tarmac uphill out the back of Letcombe to begin with, after crossing onto the ridgeway, a good mix of wide track, and single track along the Ridgeway before taking a fast gravel fireroad north to Upton. Journeys return is along the scenic smooth gravel tracks of the Harwell cycle track and Icknield Greenway.
