Byxelkrok - Blå Jungfrun - Byxelkrok
Blå Jungfrun (blue maiden) is a fantastic small granite rock island in the sound between Øland and mainland Sweden. To get to Blå Jungfrun you take the smal ferry from Byxelkrok or from Oscarshamn. It takes approximately 1 hour to sail to the island. At the island you will have about 3 hours and 15 minutes at your disposal. There's only one roundtrip on about 3,5 km and it will take you through untouched forest, over the top of the island, to some beautiful grottos and around the rocky coast. The roundtrip takes appr. 2½ hours +/-. The terrain is rough and it's advised wear good shoes. There are no shelter on the island, so in case of bad weather the tours will be cancel.

Went on the hike with my 8 year old son. The hike from the gorge up to Taminabrücke was well marked. The bench shortly before we came up to the bridge made a nice place to eat (or play Uno) with a magnificent view to the bridge and the valley below.
There were only a few steep sections between Valens

An absolutely gorgeous route around Trelde Næs. The forest is nice and beautiful with well marked routes and paths. There are plenty of benches and tables around for taking a rest. The four shelters can be booked online and have an absolutely stunning view. The area is well known for it's many shark
