The weather on Sunday, September 24th, was ideal for a bike ride, although the southwest wind required a little more effort. This enabled me to realize a long-held wish to see the construction progress of the railway bridge, the "new Frisian Bridge", over the Ems.

It was a beautiful hike in the high summer temperatures, the path through the shady and cool forest was very pleasant. The exotic forest as well as the vineyard with its castle, castle gardens and old town are well worth seeing.
