Suddenly Lake Constance!
Two days before the scheduled departure from Marseille, I received the message that my booked Flixbus was cancelled, as a replacement I was offered a departure long after midnight (instead of 5pm).
I then put together a journey with six trains from Nîmes to Bregenz - and with a…

Today was a leisurely finish, lots of bike paths, almost no inclines. But strange fruits on the way ...
The highlight, the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct (aqueduct) dating from the first century BC or AD, is also on the back of the €5 bills.
I don't want to taste the mushroom.
Nîmes, Roman again: The Arena…

There is a book roundabout in Alès! It is a relatively short, unspectacular drive to Uzès. Once upon a time there was a beautiful old Renault minibus parked on the side of the road.
In Uzès, the round (beautifully illuminated) church tower from the 12th century is an absolute rarity.

It's good that yesterday I stocked up on a ham and cheese baguette, apples, bananas and biscuits.

Beautiful ride along the Tarn River, with quite nice climbs towards the end.
Once there was a tunnel where cyclists were not allowed to drive, but there was no way of bypassing it. It's good that it was only 230 m long...
On a hill there is a workshop that makes great figures (e.g. Asterix and Obelix…

In the morning with a SNCF train from Bayonne to Toulouse. I had to reserve a place for the bike on the train.
In Toulouse it rained at first, but then it became friendly.
The city where I am today is called Albi and is very beautiful, the Episcopal Quarter is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

... tailwind:
OK, a bit of tailwind, but: Only flying is nicer!
Equally strong headwind:
No headwind but counter-storm, climate catastrophe!
