The route goes through a local dairy farm and on to The Milk Churn cafe - past a couple of decent country pubs too so lots of refuelling opportunities! The return trip from the Milk Churn cafe back to Slinfold travels along the Downs link - the path of the disused railway, so is pretty flat with lovely

St Leonard's Forest is a 'working' forest, so you may see logging lorries collecting vast pine trunks, or loggers working in the forest. Not as many bluebells as you'd see in local woodlands.
