Le Morond to Mont D'Or ridge walk
Took the chairlift from Metabief to Le Morond peak, then enjoyed the clifftop views along the ridge to Mont D'Or and back. Nice clear sunny day with Mont Blanc visible in the distance.

Glacier 3000 ice walk
Steep entry fee here but worth it for the stunning views. Ice and snow in August! We used the chair lift to cut out some of the climb at the end, and had lovely hot chocolates in the café at the start/end point.

Dent de Vaulion, Switzerland
We parked up at Chalet-buvette de la Dent de Vaulion for a quick walk up to the peak ahead of the afternoon storms. The chalet is a great spot for a meal, drinks or snacks. Fantastic panoramic views from the top!

Mam Tor, Lose Hill, Hope, Castleton, Winnats Pass
Gorgeous day for it - clear, dry and not too hot... At least until the final midday climb back to the car! 🥵 Free roadside parking in laybys near the start point and lots of pitstop options in Hope and Castleton.

Robin Hood Way Stage 3, first 11 miles - Burntstump Park to Newstead Abbey

River Leen top to bottom

I didn't see the river for the first few miles, opting to stay on the public footpath through Newstead abbey grounds. But it looks lovely so next time I'll pay the entrance fee and plot a route closer…
