Great views over Thirlmere and surrounding feels from Raven's Crag. Not at all as Wainwright described! Well worth the haul up the steep path, and well maintained duck boards near the top.

The car park by Latrigg was rammed so we drove down to a lower path starting on Applethwaite. Komoot mapped a route up to the top, but at the waterfall on Howgill Tongue the path ceased to exist. Undeterred we opted to just head straight up anyway. It was a relief when we got to the well trodden paved
