Booked/guided tour. Actually it was 12 km. In the end it was a little over 20 km. Unfortunately I ended the recording too early. For this tour you should be free from giddiness and sure-footed, wear sturdy shoes and expect to get a little wet from above and also your feet if the shoes are not waterproof

Wow what a view. A great route. Without levadas but a lot of sea. Sure-footedness should be available and be a bit sporty, can't hurt either. The last part up to the end point is a bit exhausting. But it's definitely worth it. This hike is unlike the rest of Madeira. It could also have been Scotland
