If you like walking marshlands, and I do, then this is a walk you don't want to miss out on. You can carry on a lot further than I did if you are feeling fit enough.

A nice 4 mile walk through the park and along the River Crouch as far as you can access, and back again......
A nice woodland to lose yourself in for an hour or two.
Located in Hadleigh, Essex it is easy to find and can be enjoyed at any time of the year. .

Beautiful, large, mature woodland just outside Southend on Sea, Essex.
You can wander around the multitude of pathways all day here and is definitely worth a visit.
A lovely 6.5 mile wander around the footpaths of this RSPB controlled marshland. Lots of wildfowl seen as well as a Marsh Harrier in the distance. Definitely worth a visit if you like wetland wilderness...

A nice walk around a well kept country park on the outskirts of Hawkwell in Essex. Lots of scrubland with numerous twitty birds flitting from bush to tree and back. There a small pond with resident ducks and also plenty of hedgerow foraging to be had...
A lovely 14 mile walk starting of in front of the arcades and following the sea defence in a large loop around the entire perimeter of the Island. Easy walking around most of the route but a bit muddy in places.
