The second day starts early at 5, wake up, breakfast, start hike around 6. Lunch and 2h rest at Mumake then continue to the last camp before Ciudad perdida. We did this tour shortly after new year and thus it was very crowded (colombianos have holidays here).
Ciudad Perdida can only be reached by hiking and we think it is only allowed/possible with agency. You find agencies in Santa Marta, price for the 4-day tour is ~300$. In our case Magictours turned

On day 4 you basically hike all the way back to El Mamey, get lunch there and wait for your transport back to Santa Marta. The last 2h might be tough for your week knees - it is possible to get a motorbike instead.
Also we saw some people on mules on parts of the other days.
