This stage of the World Heritage Climb is the only one so far that I cannot unreservedly recommend. The first 10 km through Aggsbach Dorf and further on forest and meadow paths to Hohenwarther Höhe are varied and beautiful. Then it goes for kilometers on asphalt through villages, fields and eternally

Wonderful, varied and my personal favorite stage of the World Heritage ascent. With the roller ferry from Spitz to Hofarnsdorf and further on the World Heritage Trail to the Hohe Stein (short climbing passage to the lookout point).

A nice path through the heather and forest. Mostly you walk on natural trails, the forest is covered with wild blueberry bushes, the route is well signposted. A detour to the Gasthaus Schafstall is definitely worth it. When the heather is in bloom in August, the view is surely fantastic.

Beautiful circular hiking trail in fantastically beautiful weather. We even saw a little adder 😊.
