Today six bikers met at the Hohemark to enjoy Steffen's route again and to really see each other.
From the Hohemark it was first uphill, on well-known paths past the Altkönig towards Sandplacken. From there it went past the Feldberg towards Niederreifenberg and then to Reifenberg Castle. The weather cooperated, the sun came out and made the temperatures a bit more bearable. From the castle it went down, past Hegewiese and past Sandplacken

Bright sunshine and mild temperatures so the sunset on the Feldberg was finally on the program today. However, since the day before yesterday I got stuck somewhere with the rear derailleur, I first had to go to Radsport Denfeld and have my derailleur hanger fixed.
That took a little longer than planned so that I had to hurry up a bit and made it to the crowd just in time. It's hard to believe how many people were standing on the Brunhildis rock just to photograph the sunset, even though it was quite icy due to the wind.
So I quickly took a few pictures, put on all the clothes I had with me and put them back down again. When I wanted to mount the lamp on the helmet, the bracket broke off. Dark from above and dark from below, so I couldn't actually drive the 15Km home through the forest. Fortunately, a biker with enough light passed me and accompanied me at least to the Saalburg. I somehow manage the rest by picking up the remains of my lamp and holding the handlebars at the same time. Then I walked leisurely the remaining six kilometers home. A new lamp has to be found long before Christmas
