The actual lap that we wanted to do was unfortunately blocked - therefore only a short lap with a cave inspection (we had a torch) ... now on the bike ...

So that was day 3 of the Easter holidays - today we went to Velbert (had heard something about the Biohof round somewhere in the WDR) All in all a nice round with nice farm shops (also bought something). All in all, the round was peppered with too much asphalt, but with this summer weather in March that only plays a subordinate role ;-)) Now the terrace is being prepared .....

So day 2 of the Easter holidays spent on the bike - first the loop Altenaffeln - Affeln - Neuenrade. Then over to the sun catchers on Remmelshagen. From there we actually wanted to go down the trail to Ütterlingsen. The first 500 - 600 meters descent made me really excited, then unfortunately came the area where the woodcutters are currently working - it is impossible to continue, so push the bike up the ... mountain again. The normal descent from Remmelshagen down to Werdohl was a nice compensation ...

Today used the first day of vacation and drove to Altenahr, today with a "guest hiker" (my older son also wanted to sniff the hiking air) - dream weather, dream tour (many thanks to Mr. Pfade (also found here) - there I have it Tour copied). Altenahr is currently a big construction site, but at some point we somehow managed to get into the village by car and park (small tip - if you buy something from the winegrower on the other side of the street - you get a free parking ticket (and a delicious Riesling)). It then starts with a crisp ascent to warm up. The detour to Teufelsley offers a great view, I really recommend this detour only to sure-footed hikers (if you have no experience in the rugged, steep and rocky terrain, you'd better take the path down below !!!!) Then it goes up to the Schrock refuge - breakfast break. Follow the path further - after Kreuzberg came the most beautiful part of the route for me. Through oak forests above a degree that I usually only know from the Alps - super nice .... Then back to the parking lot and bought a cold bottle of Riesling at the vintner across the street - thanks to Corona everything is closed, but we had one Drivers with us and were able to enjoy a cold wine in the sun. A little note at the end - don't let the km influence you - the route has it all (definitely feasible, but feels more like 20km)
