Op deze heerlijke witte winterdag trek ik samen met vrienden en familie te voet de Veluwezoom op. Onze wandeling start vanuit De Steeg en via Landgoed Middachten wandelen we al snel de hoogte in over besneeuwde en soms ijzige paden. Ons doel vandaag is de altijd gezellige Carolinahoeve, die ook op deze besneeuwde dag erg populair bezocht is. Gelukkig vinden we er plek en genieten er van een lekkere lunch en een drankje. Na deze warme stop lopen we verder terug richting de auto via de flanken van het nationale park. Met de verrekijker in de aanslag spot ik - naast een hele reeks tuinvogels - meerdere boomklevers en volgens mij zelfs een Oehoe, maar misschien was dat wel een drankje teveel.
