Tour 6: Moderately difficult tour across the Hochheide to Ettelsberg via the Graf-Stolberg hut to Referinghausen, then via Küstelberg and Elkeringhausen back to WinterbergThis is a blast tour with many highlights from the Sauerland to the Willinger Upland. We start in Winterberg and drive over the duck meadow past Grönebach. The first crisp climb leads up to the Hillekopf. Here we meet the Rothaarsteig, which leads (initially) via a flowing root path towards Hochheide. We make a detour to the summit cross from Clemensberg, from where we enjoy the panoramic view over the Sauerland. We continue to the Ettelsberg. If you want, you can test the Willinger downhill route here and come up again with the chair lift. Then we drive to the Diemelquelle and Graf-Stolberg-Hütte. Then over the Kahle Pön, an award-winning hiking trail that really offers great views and shortly after the Kalied (another great viewpoint) you go a few kilometers through crazy fields into the valley. From Referinghausen we drive through the Medebacher Bucht (a bird conservation area) up the Schlossberg to Küstelberg, then down to Elkeringhausen and finally back to Winterberg. This tour scores with breathtaking views, beautiful forest paths and great highlights of the Sauerland. This round trip also has a few steep climbs. We drove them on mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes. You need good condition without an engine. This route contains a few root trails, but technical skills are not required here.

Tour 5: Moderately difficult tour from Winterberg via Nordenau to Astenweg, then through the smoke hole back to WinterbergOn this tour you get to know the Sauerland with breathtaking views and enchanted valleys. We start in Winterberg and first drive towards Silbach. Shortly before Silbach we drive over the market and mine places to Alastenberg. We cycle along a beautiful small trail / forest path via the Sauerland high-altitude feeder to Nordenau. Once you have left the forest, this section offers a truly breathtaking view in all directions over several kilometers. From Nordenau it goes steeply uphill to Alastenberg. In between you have a great view of Nordenau and can see the old slate gallery. Today there is a very well-known healing tunnel. We continue via Alastenberg to the Sahnehang and from there back into the forest and below the Kahler Astens on the Astenweg. From there it goes down into the smoke hole - a beautiful green enchanted valley, where it smells very spicy of wild garlic almost all year round. It is said to be a smoke hole because fog always forms here in damp weather. We ride up into the sun again and come out of the forest at the bike park in Winterberg. This circular tour has a few crunchy climbs. Without an engine, it requires good physical condition. It is suitable for mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes.

Tour 3: Moderately difficult tour to 4 mountain lakes around Winterberg. This tour leads through enchanted valleys and over beautiful heights to four different lakes.
We start in Winterberg and drive through the great Renautal. In this valley, long footbridges lead over the Renau to protect the small stream and pretty plants that are protected by nature. We continue towards the marketplaces, then towards Silbach, where you can take a little break at the treading pool in the forest. Then we head for the first lake, the Siedlinghauser Bergsee, which can only be admired from a platform. But the view up here is great! The mountain lake is located in an old quarry and is closed to the public.
Then we drive down a steep trail to the viaduct and then back up to the next mountain lake, also an old quarry. Officially, entry is prohibited here.
We come to the Blasius and drive a very nice flowing trail through a thick forest to the Kuhlenbergstern. We continue towards Niedersfeld, where the next lake is waiting for us. This has a water ski facility and a pretty bathing bay.
From there we drive towards Hildfeld and head for the 4th lake on a small trail, which is a little hidden outside the village. After a small loop around Hildfeld, it's off to Grönebach, from there across the duck meadow and the Ruhr spring back to Winterberg. This tour scores with great views, is fun and requires a solid level of fitness. Suitable for mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes. You can plan a whole day without a motor.

Tour 2: Challenging tour over the Kahl Asten and Mollseifen to the Ziegenhelle, from there into the Dachsloch to Neuludwigsdorf, Bromskirchen and Hallenberg, then through the Liesetal back to WinterbergThis tour has some tough climbs to offer. First it goes from Winterberg up to the Kahler Asten, where the Lenne springs from. From there it goes downhill via a root path to Helle Platz and then to Mollseife. Shortly after Moll soap we disappear into the forest for the first time and get to know a great way (mainly uphill) to the goat light, which leads through the historical females court. This trail is really beautiful as the trees along the way grow as if you were driving through a green tunnel. At the top of the goat's light is a lookout tower from which you have a great view.
From here it goes downhill over the pastor's meadow to the Dachsloch, a tiny village where you can stop off. Then continue to Neuludwigsdorf and then again a very flowing trail downhill through green forests and a small stream. There follows a pretty valley, we roam Bromskirchen and make a worthwhile detour to Hallenberg Kreuzberg, from where you have an incredibly beautiful view. Then we drive down to Hallenberg and Liesen and then through the pretty Liesetal back towards Winterberg - on this route we climb the last meters in altitude. This round tour has a few decent climbs and requires good physical condition and solid driving technique on some sections.Recommended for:
Mountain bikes * and e-mountain bikes* For mountain bikes without motor, you are welcome to plan a day tour for this round and should be in good condition and also have a very good driving skill.
