The offroad attempt from Ferrières in the route is not recommended and from a certain point uncyclable for most of us. Hence the detour.

Ballon d'Alsace is in my opinion a real classic with a very acceptable ascent percentage and a nice descent, especially further down. Grand Ballon via Moosch is (I think) the toughest climb in the Vosges, but uphill is definitely recommended. You hardly come across a car.

Nice mix of gravel and asphalt. Grand Ventron up is very quiet, but in terms of surface and percentages sometimes quite a challenge. The part of Voie vert is wonderfully flat on asphalt through a valley. Ballon de Servance is beautiful, but has few views. Descending is careful because of many loose stones

Making wonderful altimeters at the bottom of the Veluwe, then a nice round through it with an ideal alternation between paved and unpaved. Endless forests and beautiful heaths.

Think that we are just a bit slower than on regular rides, so 180km seems to have enough. : P
